Job description 

Accelecom is currently seeking a full-time exempt Sr Channel Manager responsible for selling into the Indirect / Channel segment. We are looking for people who share our passion for success through a consultative selling approach, a focus on superior customer service and helping the industry solve business problems. As a Sales Professional, this position will be responsible for identifying / developing Relationships with Indirect Partners & driving new business across our Georgia footprint. The successful candidate will be expected to deeply understand our Partners' business and able to craft unique solutions and close new business. 

The Sr Channel Manager will be responsible for developing & executing sales strategies across each Vertical in Georgia, with a keen focus on the Healthcare, Government, Education, Transporation, Manufacturing, Logistics & Technology Verticals. 

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Strategic Account Planning Experience: 

  • Formulation & execution of a robust Channel GTM strategy 

  • Development & execution of Partner-centric Account Plans 

  • Development & execution of account-centric Contact Plans 

  • Identification & prospecting of emerging Indirect Partners 

  • Identification & execution of upsell & cross-sell strategies 

 

Product Knowledge & Experience: 

  • Transport solutions (Dark Fiber, Wavelengths & Ethernet) 

  • IP solutions (IP Transit, DIA & DDoS) 

  • Managed Services Solutions (Mng Firewall/Router/WiFi & SD-WAN) 

  • Voice Solutions (UCaaS & CCaaS) 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mkt’ing or related field 

  • Industry Experience (Telecom or Data Center): Minimum of 5-years 

  • Sales experience: Minimum of 5-years 

  • Mindset: Hunter mindset / role (vs. Business Development or Account Mgt) 

  • Strong analytical & technical skills 

  • Strong interpersonal & communications skills 

  • Strong relationship development skills 

  • Ability to thrive in “start-up” environment / operate in the “grey” 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables & meet deadlines 

  • Track-record of meeting & exceeding annual sales quota 

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities 

  • Strong financial acumen 

  • Strong collaboration internal (engineering, product, and marketing)   

  • Excellent presentation skills  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years selling into the Indirect / Partner space 

  • Minimum of 3 years selling with Mng Svc’s / Mng IT Providers 

  • Minimum of 2 years selling with System Integrators 

  • Minimum of 1 year selling into the Healthcare vertical 

  • Minimum of 1 year selling into the Government vertical 

  • Minimum of 1 year selling into the Education vertical 

  • Minimum of 1 year selling into the Transportation vertical 

  • Minimum of 1 year selling into the Manufacturing vertical 

  • Minimum of 1 year selling into the Logistics vertical 

  • Knowledge of BANT, TAS and/or the Challenger Sales methodologies 

  • Prior experience w/ Salesforce & the Microsoft Suite 

 

Work Environment: 

  • Remote work environment  

  • Will require occasional travel (in support of Client meetings)
